The method involves determining medical questions to be answered, and determining examination steps which are required for clarification of the medical questions. The questions and the steps are provided in data sets (31) of a memory unit, and additional information are assigned to each examination step. Examination processes with the required examination steps are determined based on the additional information. The processes are required for responding all the medical problems. An independent claim is also included for a medical diagnostic unit for examination of a person.
