PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly electric vacuum cleaner which reduces the adhesion when bedding is cleaned, and also, can perform cleaning in a short period of time. SOLUTION: This electric vacuum cleaner is equipped with: an electric blower 2 which sucks in air containing dust; a driving means 13 which drives the electric blower 2; a control means 12 which controls the power feeding to the electric blower 2; a bedding mode switching means 16; and a bedding mode input pattern storage means 17. In this case, the bedding mode switching means 16 switches a bedding cleaning operation mode and a normal cleaning operation mode. The bedding mode input pattern storage means 17 stores a plurality of power feeding amounts to the electric blower 2 under the bedding cleaning operation mode. The power feeding amount to the electric blower 2 during the bedding cleaning operation mode is reduced in steps from the stored plurality of power feeding amounts. By reducing the power feeding to the electric blower 2 in steps, this electric vacuum cleaner in which the adhesion between a nozzle and the bedding is hard to occur can be provided.
