<p>The procedure for expanding a partially reticulated elastomer foam ring of a tire support consists of rotating it inside a stoving kiln at atmospheric pressure and a preferable temperature of 140 - 150 degrees C while supported by a convex-surfaced roller (31) on a horizontal axle (3) driven by a motor (5). The speed of rotation is between 0.1 and 2 rads per second, and the degree of expansion is monitored by at least one optical cell (4, 4').</p> |
