A metering valve for lubricants, comprising a metering chamber (8) operatively connected with an inlet (6) and an outlet (7). A metering piston divides the chamber into a first and a second part (8a, 8b). A switching member (1) connects alternately a first channel (9a) connected with the first part (8a) with the inlet (6) or the outlet (7), whereby the highly pressurized lubricant can be dispensed into or out of the first part (8a). The second part (8b) is connected with the inlet (6) via a second channel (9b), as a result of which the pressurised lubricant can be dispensed into the second part (8b) irrespective of the position of the switching member. The switching member (1), on a pressure rise, is displaced between a rest position, in which the feeding to the first part (8a) is made possible via the first channel (9a), and an end position, in which feeding is made possible only via the first channel (9a). The switching member (1) in an intermediate position prevents both the feeding in and the dispensing out of lubricant along the first channel (9a). |
