An exhaust manifold (10) of an internal combustion engine comprises: (A) an internal exhaust duct (16); (B) a rigid external envelope (18) around the exhaust duct; (C) an intermediary heat insulation layer (24) between the duct and the envelope; (D) the envelope is made by molding around the intermediary layer which forms a mold core; (E) the intermediary layer is made of a flexible material to compensate for compressions and expansions in the space between the duct and the envelope due to their different dilations. An independent claim is also included for the production of this exhaust manifold.
