The use of a water-soluble copolymer (A) is claimed for improving the activation of optical brightening, where (A) is derived from at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer (I) on which at least one alkoxy- or hydroxy-polyalkylene glycol function is grafted. Independent claims are included for: (a) an agent for improving the activation of optical brightening, comprising at least one copolymer (A); (b) methods for dispersing or milling minerals (B) in aqueous suspension, using (A); (c) aqueous suspensions of dispersed or milled (B), which contain (A); (d) methods for producing bulk fillers or coating slurries, using (A); and (e) bulk fillers or coating slurries, which contain (A). |
