The scooter has a steering assembly (200) connected to a step board (102) and mounted in the non-use position at the side of the board. The steering assembly can be extended up to automatically lock in the useful position . An end plate (104) mounted displaceable relative to the board is movable opposite the travel direction (F) into an extended useful position of the board. Independent claim describes steering assembly for board which has hinged collapsible rod members (204)extending up into lockable useful position and folding down compact against the side of the board in the non-use position.
