SUBSTANCE: proposed centrifugal water pump has scroll, housing accommodating driven shaft installed on antifriction bearings and provided with cantilever-mounted impeller, sealing unit arranged between impeller and driven shaft bearing, and hollow drive gear coupled with pump driven shaft and installed on its antifriction bearings in engine space. Water pump housing with bearing unit is located in inner space of gear. Bushing with two outer splines is secured on end face of driven shaft at side opposite to impeller. Splines get into slots of gear end face. EFFECT: compact simplified design of centrifugal water pump and its drive, provision of operation of unit after wear of contacting parts of water pump and drive gear. 2 cl, 2 dwg |
