The cable sheave for a cableway system has a hub, a sheave body with a surface extending radiallly outward from the hub, and a sheave groove around its periphery. The sheave body may be in the form of spokes. Fastening devices are provided on the sheave surface and at least two sheave parts can be connected rigidly to one another along a parting line to form the complete cable sheave. The at least one parting line is located radially outside the hub.
