PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reservoir hopper capable of well discharging waste water by self-eliminating clogging. SOLUTION: In this reservoir hopper 10, waste water is separated from deposit and grit by a screen member 22. Since clogging occurs earlier if only the screen member 22 is used, a retaining plate 30 having slits 40, 40, ... formed therein is disposed on the screen member 22 on the inside of the hopper body 12 and the waste water is led to the screen member 22 through the slits 40, 40, ... to prevent the screen member 22 from being clogged. When it it detected that the slits 40, 40, ... of the retaining plate 30 clogged by deposit or grit is detected by the lowering of the discharged amount of waste water, a liquid feed pump 48 is driven to force-feed water to pipes 42, 42, ... to jet the water from liquid jetting ports 46, 46, ... to the slits 40, 40, ....
