The invention concerns a device for remotely controlling electrical appliances and security systems with different origins, designs and levels of security. More specifically, the invention concerns mobile, fixed and on-board transmitters which act remotely on activators that are used to control electrical appliances and security systems. According to the invention, both the transmitters and the activators have several registers which can store and process fixed and evolutionary security codes which can also be used in remote monitoring. The transmitter/activator provides the user with data relating to the state of the device to be controlled. The inventive device is designed to use coherently- and centrally-encoded radio signals for the remote management of already-installed electrical appliances and security systems which have hitherto been controlled individually in multiple different ways which are often incompatible with one another.
