<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sensor device installed on an automobile for assisting driving and/or for automatically operating one or more on-board systems, in accordance with a detected environmental condition. <P>SOLUTION: This optical sensor device is provided with a sensor module 10, including a CCD/CMOS array. A sensitive region of the optical sensor device is divided into sub-regions, dedicated to different functions.
