PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic thin film transistor, the method of manufacturing the same, and a flat panel display comprising the same. SOLUTION: The organic thin film transistor comprises a gate electrode, source and drain electrodes insulated from the gate electrode, an organic semiconductor layer insulated from the gate electrode and electrically connected with the source and drain electrodes, an insulating layer insulating the gate electrode from the source and drain electrodes and the organic semiconductor layer, and a self-assembly monolayer included between the insulating layer and the organic semiconductor layer. In the transistor, a compound forming the self-assembly monolayer comprises one or more terminal groups selected from a group comprising an unsubstituted or substituted C6-C30 aryl group, an unsubstituted or substituted C2-C30 heteroaryl group, and an unsubstituted or substituted C2-C30 heterocycloalkyl group.
