LIVER-DIRECTED LIPOSOME COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liver-directed liposome composition comprising an oligonucleotide and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The liver-directed liposome composition comprises a complex of a liposome having a glycosylated cholesterol derivative as a constituting component and an oligonucleotide as an active ingredient. The glycosylated cholesterol derivative constituting the liposome composition comprises formula (1). In the formula, n is an integer of 1-10; G is a monosaccharide or a polysaccharide capable of binding to an asialoglycoprotein receptor; L is a linker; and L binds to the 1-position carbon of the sugar in G through -O- or -S-. By administering the liposome composition into the blood, an oligonucleotide including siRNA can be efficiently delivered to the liver. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
