PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a medium from being damaged by simplifying a constitution of a delivery roller by surely delivering the final medium by increasing inertial force of the carried final medium by increasing a carrying speed of the delivery roller for delivering the medium when detecting that the final medium of a printing job passes through a fixing part. SOLUTION: This printer has an image forming part forming a developer image on the medium in response to the printing job sent from a host device, the fixing part fixing the developer image to the medium, the delivery roller delivering the medium fixed with the developer image and a delivery medium detecting part arranged on the downstream side of the fixing part and detecting the rear end of the medium passing through the fixing part. When the medium of detecting the rear end by the delivery medium detecting part is the final medium of the printing job, the carrying speed of the delivery roller is increased.
