METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ASSIGNING SFID IN WORLDWIDE INTEROPERABILITY FOR MICROWAVE ACCESS

A method for assigning SFID in WiMAX is provided, the WiMAX network comprises a access service network ASN and a connectivity service network CSN. The method comprises: the CSN establishes a service flow and sends the service flow to the ASN after receiving service flow establishment request from a MS; the ASN assigns a value that is free with respect to the MS for the service flow. A system for assigning SFID in WiMAX is also provided. The method and system for assigning SFID in WiMAX provided in the present invention can simplify the management of the SFID, because which needn't notify the SFA or SFM generating the SFID to release the SFID after the MS handovers.
