FIELD: plastic working of metals, possibly manufacture of complex-profile -shaped large-length articles such as side beams for automobiles. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cutting out development of side beam from sheet blank; making openings in development of side beam and forming lengthwise shaped profile and cross -shaped profile. Such shaping is realized due to strict fixation of development of side beam on table-mandrel while simultaneously longitudinal profiling in plane of minimum rigidity of development is performed. Then successive stepwise and(or) continuous profiling of development is realized by rolling it around according to transitions in system of roller gages while following profile of table-mandrel by means of gages. At rolling around process flanges of side beam are bent at increasing bending angle. During finish transitions rolling around process is performed due to multiple sign-variable deforming. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of method, improved quality of product. ^ 4 dwg |
