PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring the pipe wall thickness that can be easily manufactured at low cost and can be set at all times; and to provide a sensor used therefor. SOLUTION: The pipe wall thickness measuring device 2 for measuring the wall thickness of a pipe P having ferromagnetism comprises an excitation winding wire 10 wound on the periphery of the pipe P in the form of a coil, a current-applying part 61 for applying excitation current of low frequency in the excitation winding wire 10, a detection winding wire 11 wound on the periphery of the pipe P in the form of a coil together with the excitation winding wire 10, and a voltage-measuring part 62 for measuring the induced voltage generated in the detection winding wire 11, based on the excitation current.
