PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building with a canopy which is simple in structure, low in cost, and exerts various convenient functions which a conventional canopy does not have, without performing large renovation on the canopy. SOLUTION: The building with the canopy is constructed by protruding the canopy H from an external wall having an opening section O formed therein, so as to overhang outward from an upper side of the opening section O. The canopy H has an upper rail Ru arranged on a lower surface thereof, and a cover member C whose upper end is supported by the upper rail Ru so as to be movable along the same, for covering at least part of the opening section O from outside.
