PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely separate paper in a paper feeder of adopting a technology for separating the paper by blowing air upon a front end part of the paper. SOLUTION: This paper feeder has a paper feeding tray 17 for storing the paper P in a loading state, a pickup roller 22 for calling out the paper P stored in the paper feeding tray 17 in order from the uppermost position, a first air blowing part 19 for blowing air upon the front end part of the paper P stored in the paper feeding tray 17 by using a first duct 19A, and a second air blowing part 20 for blowing the air upon the front end part of the paper P called out of the paper feeding tray 17 by the pickup roller 22 by using a second duct 20A.
