PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook for cooking capable of being easily attached not to fall even if a heavy cooking utensil such as a frying pan is hung. SOLUTION: A metal Z-shaped body 1 of the hook for cooking has a metal rectangular parallelepiped insertion plate 2 which can be inserted into an oil groove formed under a hood of a smoke ventilation fan of a range. The insertion plate 2 matches the shape of the oil groove 5. With the function of the insertion plate 2, the insertion plate 2 is not detached from the oil groove 5 under the range hood even if a heavy cooking utensil 6 is hung, and therefore, the hung heavy cooking utensil 6 does not fall from the hook for cooking. In addition, the hook for cooking can be easily attached. The insertion plate 2 is simply made of metal, or a magnetic plate may be attached to the lower part of the insertion plate 2.
