<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter by an ink-jet system for preventing color mixing between adjacent color pixels upon depositing ink into a pixel region surrounded by a light shielding layer and for forming color pixels having no white void or color irregularity in the pixel region. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a color filter having a plurality of light shielding layers 3 on a transparent substrate 1 and having a plurality of color pixels 5 among the plurality of light shielding layers includes a step of irradiating the substrate with energy rays through both of a photosensitive light shielding film 2 applied on the transparent substrate and the transparent substrate surface so as to form a light shielding layer.
