PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone wherein a function required by a user is freely added by the user himself/herself while a module is reused. SOLUTION: The portable telephone 100 has: a main-body principal section 110; a packaged panel 120; and sockets 130a and 130b. The main-body principal section 110 has a panel fitting surface 150a. The packaged panel 120 is mounted and demounted to and from the panel fitting surface 150a while having a bonding-contacting surface bonded and contacted to the panel fitting surface 150a when the packaged panel 120 is mounted on the panel fitting surface 150a. The sockets 130a and 130b are mounted on the panel fitting surface 150a, and the modules are insertable and detachable thereto, respectively, For example, the module 140a is inserted into the socket 130a.
