PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component feeder that efficiently feeds components, in which a wafer supply plate and a tray supply plate are mixedly housed, and the components are automatically fed from a plate, which is selected from the above plates, irrespective of a kind of the plate. SOLUTION: Depending on a kind of a plate disposed in a plate disposing device of the component feeder, for the tray supply plate, a lowering position of a plate pressing body is restricted, thereby the plate is securely held, and for the wafer supply plate, restriction of the lowering position is released, thereby while the wafer supply plate is securely held, expanding to wafer is performed. Consequently, appropriate holding operation or expanding operation is performed selectively and automatically depending on a kind of the plate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
