COATING COMPOSITION FOR TERMITE CONTROL

Disclosed is a coating composition for use in the control of termites, which is intended to form a coating film capable of exerting a termite control effect for a prolonged period of time with good efficiency. The coating composition comprises a resin emulsion (e.g., an acrylic modified silicone resin emulsion, an acrylic resin emulsion, or a mixture thereof), an inorganic filer (e.g., a calcium carbonate or titanium oxide microparticle), and a termite control agent having a saturated vapor pressure of less than 1.0 x 10<SUP>-6</SUP> Pa at 25ºC or having a residual ratio of 55% or greater after open storage at 40ºC for 6 months (e.g., clothianidin). The termite control agent may be in the form of a microcapsule, a powder or a granule, as required.
