METHOD FOR PRODUCING PATTERNED HONEYCOMB-FORMED POROUS MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing thin film having a periodic structure consisting of fine holes aligned as a honeycomb form in an optional pattern. SOLUTION: This method for producing the patterned honeycomb-formed porous material comprises a process of bringing the honeycomb-formed porous material consisting of a non-water soluble polymer in contact with a mold having a pattern consisting of a relief and/or slit to transfer printing the pattern on the honeycomb-formed porous material. The method can destroy the periodic structure consisting of fine holes aligned as the honeycomb form at optional parts, and the produced patterned honeycomb-formed porous material can be utilized as a substrate plate for a photonic crystal or cell culturing.
