PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum-type washing machine which prevents a detergent from penetrating into a drain port while washing. SOLUTION: In the drum-type washing machine: the drain port 31 is formed in the bottom of a water tank 19; the back 45 of a concave-shaped gutter 30 is projected ahead of the back 47 other than the gutter 30; the drain port 31 is formed in the side wall 30a on the water supply path 35a side of the gutter 30 and near the back 45 of the gutter 30; an extending rib 46, which extends to the back 45 of the gutter 30 and covers at least a part of the drain port 31, is formed in the side wall 30a; the detergent and a softening agent cast from the water supply path 35a when a cast of the detergent and softening agent can be prevented from directly penetrating into a drain port 31; the futility of the detergent is lost; and a predetermined washing capability and softening agent effectiveness are realized.
