<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container which causes no deformation nor breakage of the container even in such a use as heating in a microwave oven and the addition of various kinds of edible oil, is excellent in strength, is safe, has a low height when the containers are stacked, is capable of decreasing distribution cost and storing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A polypropylene resin foamed container has flanges on the bottom, side walls and an opening, and obtained by the thermal foaming of a polypropylene resin foamed sheet. The thickness t<SB>1</SB>(mm) of the bottom and the thickness t<SB>2</SB>(mm) of the side wall satisfies 0.9≤t<SB>1</SB>≤2.5 and 0.7t<SB>1</SB>≤t<SB>2</SB>≤t<SB>1</SB>.
