PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP display device of a multipanel structure wherein superior manufacturing efficiency and superior image display performance can be made compatible by suppressing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: Tile units 10a, 10b, 10c composed of respective strip shaped tile glasses 11a, 11b, 11c and display electrodes 12, 13 formed on them, a dielectric layer 14, and a protecting layer 16 are constituted, and they are mutually joined by a flit glass 30. A front panel 10 in the PDP 1 is constituted by this. The longitudinal direction of the display electrodes 12, 13 is juxtaposed along the longitudinal direction of the respective tile glasses 11a, 11b, 11c. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
