PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector with lock mechanism, in which a soft operation feeling is obtained by an elastic arm and climbing up of the elastic arm can be surely prevented. SOLUTION: A pair of elastic arms 17 are provided slanted toward the opposite direction X2 in the connecting direction X1, from both side edges 16b of the end part 16a of a support plate 16 extending in parallel to the upper face 14 of a housing 4. A locking claw 18 is provided at the outer side face of the elastic arm 17. A regulating plate 22, which is provided extended from the support plate 16 to both sides regulates bending deformation of the elastic arms 17 in the direction Y1, crossing the upper face 14 at right angles. The projection 23, formed on the upper face 14 of the housing 4, regulates expansion to the outer side of the elastic arms 17 and prevents running up of the elastic arms 17 on the regulating plate 22.
