PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a towboat for fishing sweetfish equipped with a lid which is simply openable and closable without being carelessly opened when closed. SOLUTION: The towboat for fishing the sweetfish is equipped with a towboat body 11 and the lid 14 installed therein. The lid 14 is equipped with a locking mechanism 17. Furthermore, the locking mechanism 17 has a locking member 40 freely rotatably supported with a shaft 44 and a safety cover 18 freely rotatably supported with a shaft 51. The locking member 40 can elastically be deformed. A first arm part 42 of the locking member 40 is elastically deformed to thereby engage the safety cover 18 with an engaging protruding part 49.
