PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter electrode voltage generation circuit for driving a counter electrode on low electric power consumption, a power source circuit, an electrooptical apparatus, and an electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The counter electrode voltage generation circuit 56 includes first and second operational amplifiers OP1, OP2 which output a high potential side voltage VCOMH and a low potential side voltage VCOML to first and second voltage output lines PL1, PL2, and a switching circuit SEL which outputs the voltage of the first or second voltage output lines PL1, PL2, as a counter electrode voltage VCOM according to the polarity inversion timing. The switching circuit SEL performs the control for stopping etc., of the operating current of the second operational amplifier OP2 when outputting the voltage of the first voltage output line PL1 and performs the control for stopping etc., of the operating current of the first operational amplifier OP1 when outputting the voltage of the second voltage output line PL2. The control for stopping etc., of the at least one operating current of the first and second operational amplifiers OP1, OP2 is released in the prescribed period within one vertical scanning period.
