PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric stapler for automatically locking an internal movable component such as a driver at a normal home position to prevent it from shifting in position when removing a driver assembly. SOLUTION: The driver assembly 3 including a forming part 4 as the internal movable component, the driver 5 and a slide block 6 incorporated in slide guide cases 16 and 17 is detachably mounted on a stapler body 11. Engagement grooves 89, 90 and 91 with depths depending on widths of internal movable components 4, 5 and 6 are formed on one of sides of the components. A lock pin 99 is engaged with the grooves 89, 90 and 91 so that the pin can engage/disengage, and in addition the lock pin 99 is urged in the engaging direction by a spring 101. When the assembly is to be removed, the lock pin 99 is disengaged by activation of a cam surface 95 by a protrusion 93 on the side of a holding cover. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
