<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user easily find a print medium which causes an error. <P>SOLUTION: In this color laser printer, a bit map image equivalent to one page in each band is sequentially input from a computer and stored in a job memory, and concurrently with that, the bands stored in the job memory are sequentially read out and printed on paper. In this case, when the band to be printed is not stored in the job memory during the performance of printing, a diagram for displaying the error is printed on the blank part of the paper in place of the band. Thus, when the paper is ejected midway through a printing operation, the diagram printed on the paper is checked, so that the user can easily find the paper which causes the error. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
