PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision detection system which is hardly affected by vibration/impact other than the collision. SOLUTION: The collision detection system has a vehicle member 20 forming a closed space 23 at the outer peripheral part of the vehicle and a pressure sensor 3 held in the closed space 23. The pressure sensor 3 in the collision detection system detects the change of the pressure in the closed space 23 generated by the change of the volume of the closed space 23 accompanied by the deformation of the vehicle member 20, when the vehicle collides. The pressure sensor 3 is held by interposing a shock absorbing member 4 between the pressure sensor 3 and the vehicle member 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
