摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid drive device having excellent in-vehicle mounting performance and excellent power transmission efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid drive device has an engine ENG, at least two motors MG1, MG2 each having a power generation function, and a distribution mechanism 1 having the differential effect of distributing power outputted by the engine ENG to either of the motors MG1, MG2 and an output shaft 2. The distribution mechanism 1 is composed of a compound planetary gear mechanism having four or more rotational elements by connecting and sharing rotational elements or rotational members in at least two sets of planetary gear mechanisms to and with each other. A switching mechanism 8 for switching and connecting the engine ENG and either of the motors MG1, MG2, and the output shaft 2 into any two rotational elements is arranged on an axis line parallel to the center line of the compound planetary gear mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
