PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized device for sorting coins according to denominations, which sorts coins with a high degree of precision which is suitable for a small-sized coin depositing device. SOLUTION: In the device for sorting coins of a plurality of denominations in the midst of transporting them on the transporting route while arraying them in a row by a transport device, a plurality of selection ports are disposed in such a manner that they face the transport route and are arranged side by side and shifted in a direction orthogonal to the extending direction of the transport route, and that the selection ports are selectively opened.
