<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip-identifying method suitable for slip processing in financial institutions. <P>SOLUTION: Image data is read from a slip in an arbitrary format, and feature parts specific to the slip including the format are extracted. Color components of the extracted image data are analyzed, color components that indicate features are selected from the analyzed ones, and color separation parameters for the color components are configured. Based on the color separation parameters, data information on the extracted image data is created, and data information is created from the image data read from the slip which is to be identified. Subsequently, the data information is compared with the information that is stored in a slip identification dictionary part, and then the slip is identified. Since, slips are identified using data information on feature parts created, based on configured color separation parameters, identification accuracy is improved, eliminating influences of the slips such as color tone changes, fading, stains, and base color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
