A light emitting writing instrument for indicating a character or a figure by utilizing chemiluminescence phenomenon, and a light emitting indicator employing it. The light emitting writing instrument (1) comprises fluorescent liquid (21) and oxidizing liquid (31) hermetically sealed in breaking containers (2, 3), respectively, and causing chemiluminescence phenomenon when they are mixed, a rod-like tubular container (4) for containing the fluorescent liquid (21) and oxidizing liquid (31) taken out from the breaking containers (2, 3) under mixed state and also serving as a handle, and a coating portion (5) attached liquid-tightly to the tip of the tubular container (4) while communicating therewith. A light emitting indicator (8) employing the light emitting writing instrument (1) is characterized by comprising an indication sheet (6) which can be coated with activated chemiluminescence liquid, and a coating sheet (7) covering at least the surface of the indication sheet (6) and exhibiting translucent and ventilation interrupting properties.
