In ready-made protective cover for vehicles and vehicle parts, comprising composite material of carrier material on the vehicle side and an outer coating of thermoplastic plastics film or sheet, the carrier material consists of woven, knitted or laid fabric or a fleece reinforced with a woven, knitted or laid fabric. An independent claim covers the use of this composite material for making such protective covers.
