There are provided a highly sensitive force/mass detection method and device using a phase synchronization circuit capable of reducing a phase noise of a mechanical element by synchronizing a vibration signal of the mechanical element with an oscillation signal from a local oscillator having a low phase noise and a high purity characteristic by using the phase synchronization circuit. The highly sensitive force/mass detection device using the phase synchronization circuit includes: a vibration circuit of a mechanical vibrator (1) including a phase adjustment unit (10); a digitization circuit (5) for detecting the phase of the vibration signal from the vibration circuit; a local oscillator (7) having a low phase noise and a high purity characteristic; a phase comparator (6) for comparing the phase of the oscillation signal of the mechanical vibrator (1) to the phase of the oscillation signal from the local oscillator (7); and a loop filter (8) connected to the phase comparator (6). The output of the phase comparator (6) is fed back to the phase adjustment unit (10) via the loop filter (8) so as to reduce the phase noise of the mechanical vibrator (1). ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
