PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unprecedentedly excellent mower which can overcome a mutually-contradictory problem in handling and straight-ahead traveling stability, can have also straight-ahead traveling stability even in an undulating terrain or on an uneven irregular-ground surface in Japan while maintaining a free-cornering mechanism, is excellent in mowing workability due to the cornering handling, and can realize practical application of a differential steering type HST mounted type mower having excellent straight-ahead traveling stability. SOLUTION: The differential steering type HST type mower is a rear-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-steering type, and is constituted by providing a lock desk and a roller which is a contact body with the lock desk. The lock desk is fixed to the spindle of the front wheels pivoted so as to be flexibly rotated in the traveling direction, and is operated in synchronization with the spindle. Then the roller is placed so as to face to the lock desk with a clearance, so that the front wheels can be fixed with a little play in the straight-ahead direction of a body. In this way, the new type mower is realized which can dramatically improve cornering handling and also has excellent straight-ahead traveling stability. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
