摘要 A lubrication structure of a cam shaft is provided to prevent damage to a cam journal or an engine by improving lubrication property of the cam shaft during cold start or idling of a vehicle. A lubrication structure of a cam shaft includes an advance hole(112), a retard hole(122), and an auxiliary hole(102). A cam shaft(100) has one end fitted to a continuously variable valve timing(10) equipped with a sprocket(12), and the advance hole has an advance channel(110) formed inside of the body of the cam shaft in the vicinity of the sprocket. The retard hole has a retard channel(120) spaced outwardly from the advance hole and formed inside of the body of the cam shaft. The auxiliary hole penetrates through the cam shaft on the retard channel such that the oil supplied through the retard hole is supplied on the sliding surface of the cam shaft. The advance hole is formed closer to the continuously variable valve timing than the retard hole.
