PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission capable of realizing multiple main shift stages through a simple and inexpensive structure. SOLUTION: The transmission comprises an input shaft 210, a main clutch output shaft 291, a pair of forward and backward hydraulic clutch mechanisms 410 and 420, two sets of gear synchronizing first and second transmission mechanisms 250 and 280, and a pair of first and second hydraulic clutch mechanisms 240 and 270. In gear shifting operation from one odd shift stage to the other odd shift stage or one even shift stage to the other even shift stage by the two sets of first and second transmission mechanisms 250 and 280, the pair of forward and backward hydraulic clutch mechanisms 410 and 420 are operatively connected with a reverser lever 114 and a clutch pedal 123 to form a main clutch.
