PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device capable of changing the lock-to-lock rotating speed of a steering wheel in accordance with the running situation and also making a rotational restriction for each rotating direction. SOLUTION: The steering control device is structured so that a steering input part having the steering wheel and steered road wheels are divided mechanically and the drive of these steered road wheels is controlled in conformity to the output signal of the steering input part, wherein the steering input part is equipped with a steering shaft installed on the steering wheel, a part for engagement installed on the steering shaft, a first one-way stopper engaged with the part for engagement and restricting only the clockwise rotation of the steering wheel while admitting the counterclockwise rotation, a second one-way stopper engaged with the part for engagement and restricting only the counterclockwise rotation of the steering wheel while admitting the clockwise rotation, an actuator to control the two one-way stoppers, and a control circuit to emit a command signal to the actuator.
