Monomelic fusion polypeptides comprising R1 -M-L-M, wherein R1 is a target ligand- binding domain, M is a multimerizing component, and L is a linker capable of allowing one M component to interact with the other M component to form a self-associating monomer, optionally comprising a second target ligand-binding domain R2. Preferred target ligands include interleukin (IL)-13, IL-1 , insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1 and IGF-2.
