IMAGE RECORDER AND IMAGE RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable more efficient suppression of a waiting power without a productivity of image recording being decreased.

SOLUTION: The image recorder sequentially receives a plurality of color-separated image data from a host device and records a color image on the basis of the color-separated image data. The image recorder includes an image storage means 53 capable of storing at least image data of one page, and a storage control means which controls the operation of the image storage means. The image storage means consists of a plurality of storage units 53a-53d each capable of storing the image data. Supply power sources 60a-60d can turn on/off the plurality of storage units independently of each other.
