<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve gear for an internal combustion engine, having simple construction with a cam shaft holding structure only changed for compatibly securing the lubricity portions abutting on a cam of a control mechanism and suppressing dispersion between cylinders. <P>SOLUTION: The variable valve gear adopts the holding structure of combining the cam shaft 12 which has a journal portion 20 having a larger outer diameter than valve driving cams 17, 18 and an integrated lubricating material feed type journal hole portion 21 which rotatably supports the journal portion 20 with the cam shaft 12 inserted through one end. Thus, an original cam journal clearanceδis kept correct, and a lubricant P flowing from the end of the journal hole portion 21 to the outside spreads over portions of a variable valve train 45 to lubricate portions abutting on the cam 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
