PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the space obstruction ratio of an opening in which a window is installed and reduce the variation in aesthetic appearance of a building before and after the repair. SOLUTION: This aseismatic repair method is for the existing reinforced concrete building comprising columns 2 formed of a reinforced concrete and a beam 3 installed across these columns 2. The repair method comprises the step of installing vertical steel frames 6 along the longitudinal direction of the columns, the step of installing lateral steel frames 7 on the outer surface of the beam 3 along the longitudinal direction, joining one end faces of the lateral steel frames 7 to one vertical steel frames 6 disposed adjacently to each other, and joining the other end face of the lateral frame 7 to the other vertical steel frames 6 disposed adjacent to each other, and the step of disposing at least one of damping members 9a, 9b on at least either of the upper and lower lateral steel frame 7 along the longitudinal direction of the beam 3 and joining the damping members 9a, 9b between the one vertical steel frames 6 disposed adjacently to each other and the other vertical steel frames 6 disposed adjacently to each other.
