To easily produce and/or invalidate a portrait medium without a special photographing admitting organization. A photo booth (1) is provided with a digital camera (8) for taking the face, a means (10, 16 and 18) for outputting certification information representing that the portrait data is of a real image, means (8 and 10) for recording information representing a valid period of the portrait data and a recording portion (24) which records the portrait data and the certification information not to be falsified.
